Executive Chef Fernando Jurado

Fernando Jurado is the Executive Chef at The Westin Minneapolis. Born in California, and raised in Mexico and Spain, he brings a wealth of experience in international cuisines.

Chef Jurado's background includes owning and operating his own restaurant in Isla Mujera, Mexico. He has extensive experience in managing international hotels and restaurants from Barcelona, Spain to Orleans, France; and St. Moritz, Switzerland to Milan, Italy. Closer to home, he managed F&B at Avalon Resorts in Cancun and The Addison in Boca Raton, Florida before coming to Minneapolis to be Sous Chef at Oceanaire in Minneapolis.

Chef Jurado has spent time in food & beverage management, and in the kitchen - and the kitchen wins. As do we! His passion is Spanish cuisine, and particularly, paella.
